2. Fast Times At Ridgemont High - 1982 (he's a 17yr old background actor).

3. Valley Girl - 1983 (first real role and he was second billing as Nicolas Cage).

4. Rumble Fish - 1983 (directed by his uncle Francis Ford Coppola).

5. Racing With The Moon - 1984

6. The Cotton Club - 1984 (directed by his uncle Francis Ford Coppola).

7. Birdy - 1984

8. The Boy in Blue - 1986

9. Peggy Sue Got Married - 1986 (directed by his uncle Francis Ford Coppola).

10. Raising Arizona - 1987 (directed by the Coen Brothers).

11. Moonstruck - 1987 (this film garnered a lot of attention and awards).

12. Never On A Tuesday - 1988 (his only uncredited role).

13. Vampire's Kiss - 1988 (the highly meme'd vampire? movie).

*note: Nicolas Cage turned 20 years old in January 1984, so all movies prior to and even some that came out in, were all filmed while he was in his teen years.

**note: he did not have a film released in 1985, which will be the last year he does not have a movie being released for the duration of his career (as of my writing this in 2023).
