Rob and I review Season One of MCU's Moon Knight
Moon Knight (aka Marc, aka Steven, aka Jake, aka you get the point) is my favorite Marvel character (in terms of the comics), right next to him sits Sentry then Legion. I might have an attracting to characters with DID. I just think it these characters are well written and have incredible stories. Particularly Sentry and Legion are SO powerful and can be a team's greatest ally or worst foe... but when they go dark side it hits harder because you know it's not really them.
Oscar Issac is so well cast as the titular character and the story is SO sad. You really feel for him. However it does get a bit hokey at the end and the last 10 minutes are so rushed. It really needed another episode to just let the ending breath a bit.
It is tragic that additionally while is seemed like Steven and Marc made peace with one another they ultimately failed to stand up to the god, the entity manipulating them, Khonshu... he won. Which kind of undoes the emotional resolution of the show... making it pointless... for a 'gotcha ending'. It's disappointing.
On a side here is a video of me ending like 75+ videos with "and we need a Moon Knight movie" over the course of two years... I'm a persistent nerd.
