Dystopian Films

Rob, Rob's buddy Jimmy, Commentatoring Nerd, and Le Gault discuss dystopian films.

Movies we discussed:

Metropolis is kind of one the big first ones...

John Carpenter's filmography, though specifically They Live and Escape From New York.

I took the Roddy Piper a step further in Hell Comes to Frogtown.

Akira, a film that sparked a hundred awesome motorcycle slides.

Planet of the Apes.

Zardoz.

A few Teram Gilliam films: Brazil and Twelve Monkeys.

Solarbabies... I stand by it.

Turbo Kid because, while it didn't fit, it is awesome.

Soylent Green.

Demolition Man.

Hunger Games and a host of YA stories. Though that is just Rollerball, The Running Man, and Death Race 2000.

Mad Max.

The Purge.

Children of Man.

Robocop.

Gattaca.

Idiocracy aka the actual future.

Wall-E.

and Nimona... amongst others.
